How soon will my child move up to the next level?

All mobility is based on progress charts. We would like the gymnast to master 95% of the skills required at their level. Our coaches are required to turn in their mobility recommendations by week 8. Star charts, for the parents and child to see are given out week 9.
How many sessions will it take before my child moves up to the next level?

Every gymnast progresses on an individual basis. It generally takes multiple sessions for a student to move up to the next level.
My gymnast isn't doing all of the events in one class. Why?

Our level lessons are set up so that the students rotate to floor, one or two apparatus (rotated weekly), and trampoline and tumble track each week.
When will I know of my child's instructor?

We assign coaches to classes the week prior to the first week of a session. We do try to consistently assign the coaches from session to session.
What if my child misses a day of class?

As a courteousy, we offer we will offer 1 makeup when possible in an equal or equivalent class, when doing so will not jeopardize the safety or integrity of the class.
What should my child wear?

Girls should dress for class in a leotard or biketard with hair pulled back. Boys should dress in athletic clothing. No jewelry please. All gymnastics is performed barefoot with the exception of the "tumbling" based classes. Students in these classes are allowed to wear cheer shorts, T-shirt, and cheer shoes if preferred.
What can we expect on the first day?

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class to ensure that all paperwork is completed. Once checked in at the front desk, students can put all belongings in a cubby, and line up for class behind the white line until the instructor is ready to bring in the class. All parents should view from the second floor viewing area until class is finished. We do allow dropping off for students, who are potty trained and in a preschool or above.
Should I sign my child up for multiple classes per week?

This decision should be made based on what best fits the family's schedule. Attending class 2x per week does offer more learning opportunity, in addition to reinforcement of the lesson plan, however we only require attendance 1 day per week for our recreational program.
Do you offer private lessons?

We offer private lessons to currently enrolled students only as long as it does not interfere with our regular class schedule.
Do you offer adult gymnastics?

No. Our insurance does not cover adult gymnastics.
Do you offer the gym as a rental?

No. Only field trips under the supervision of Flips staff.
